The BGS class of ’68 have been meeting every month in a local hostelry for over 20 years. Would the global pandemic stop this?
For those of you with good memories will recall this story in the 2007 Maroon (the 2007 edition of the Maroon was also posted on the website in 2015).
However, the lockdown in March 2020 curtailed this ‘physical’ – ok, it wasn’t that physical - activity and so we started meeting virtually via Zoom. The upside to this is that more of our group that don’t have the joys of living within easy travelling distance of the Golden Hope in Sittingbourne can attend regularly. We now have friends from Germany, Southampton, Wiltshire and Lincolnshire meeting up online.

Whilst there is still no free beer, at least there are no expensive rounds! Have any other year groups maintained similar contact with their peers or regained contact during the lockdown?
