With great regret we announce the deaths of three Old Bordenians in recent weeks.
First, Ted Hobday who died on New Years Eve aged 92. Ted was a long time supporter of the Association, attending the Annual Dinners including 2022, where he sat on the Chairman's table. He had a very varied life and was a long time resident of Rodmersham village. The local Church was full, reflecting his many interests.
Ken George, originally from Sheerness, died in January aged 96. He went from Borden to Imperial College, London. Ken spent his working life in Agricultural research, and lived in Harpenden, Herts. His passing was recorded in a Daily Telegraph obituary notice.
John Godfrey, another Sheppey boy, died on 6th January aged 88. He spent his working life in Insurance, and lived for many years in Hampshire. For many years would take a weeks holiday to return to Kent to attend the Canterbury Cricket Week and there meet Old Bordenians. His passing was recorded in The Times newspaper.
