Ken Beach (OB 1970-1974) has advised us of the sad passing of Graham Steady (OB 1968-1975), whom he knew at School and with whom he became a lifelong friend.
Our thoughts are with Graham's widow and children, and wider family and friends.

"Sadly I have to report the death of Graham Steady on 25th September 2024 following a short but unexpected illness. He died very peacefully with his family around him. The funeral which was well attended was held at Bethesda Baptist Church in Trowbridge on 29th October, with a cremation for close family and friends. His widow was happy for me to let you know.
I'm almost certain he was the year below me so his time at the school was from 1968 to 1975. He went on from school to work in local government eventually with senior positions in environment health. He was able to take early retirement a few years ago so at least he did enjoy a period of retirement.
I had been good friends with him for over half a century, and had only spoken to him via the Internet about 10 days before he died. Despite now living in Germany I had kept up contact over the years and our two families had several holidays together, both on the continent and in the UK.
I know as you get older this has to become part of life, but 67 by today's life expectancy did seem somewhat early. He had a very deep thinking man's Christian faith, which takes some of the sting out it for both family and friends. The latter were certainly not in short supply!"
